Consideration about sick house syndrome

There were many things considered when building and managing an apartment and going.
When we let the place where people live, the room could not be for truly not considering the problem about safety, like sick house syndrome.
A duty of enforced ventilation is imposed upon the present residence for 24 hours.
It is because condition, such as sick house syndrome and a chemical sensitivity, may be caused if it does not ventilate compulsorily.
And the adhesives and new synthetic building materials in which the chemical substance is used for wallpaper or the plywood for construction are the cause.
Now, the chemical substance regulated has only several kinds.
It is because the construction itself may become impossible if all are regulated.
Then, it is 24-hour enforced ventilation.

The present age is surrounded by various chemical substances, such as radiation of subject, the housebuilding syndrome of exhaust gas or an office, and these days, and lives only on living ordinarily.
However it may take care, some chemical substances will be taken into the inside of the body, and it will live.
It will be exposed to a chemical substance. Furthermore, is it OK in the house we went home?


The original reason why we ask Eco-ya BAOBAB to build our apartment is
their research and practice is deep about sickhouse-syndorome.
They study how to realize a really safety house, also directed in the production of a house for a chemical sensitivity person.

If there may be few people who are conscious of whether it is safety to a chemical substance in letting an apartment,
When if our rent was considered, sick house syndrome became an item which must be considered.

Hakogi-Sennenya(the most old private house in Japan)

It is the Hakogi Sennen house which it sees by all means and was extorted after deciding that an apartment was built by wooden.

It is called the oldest private house in Japan.

Although it seems that presumption is also difficult in about what time it was built, it is supposed that it may go back from a construction method etc. till the 14th century time.

It had been moved from original place,but  we can still see it.

Enter Omoya(main wing of the house), there is a stable on the right.
Omote(the room with fire place), the kitchen, the shed are on the left.

Hanare(a cottage)has a 8jyo-room(Japanese way of measuring a room with number of a tatami. a tatami=1jyo=app191x99.5cm)with a tokonoma(an alcove), a 6jyou-room with Shoin(a study room) and each rooms  are surrounded with Engawa(it is like open corridor) .

The shed has loads of old farming machines and tools in a line.

they have something nostalgic touch.

Inside the Omoya is a bit darker, Andon（an oil lampstand) is a dimly lighted from the kitchen.

Although remodeled now, since my parents' home was also Ta-noji-shape and same type of farmers house,
I became the feeling which returned to the house of childhood. 

I felt that the custom of the Japanese of living with all families was suited well for such room arrangement. 

Since it was such room arrangement, did it become such a custom? 

But it was thought fully that Japanese people had the culture of sharing many things mutually from ancient times.

Is it a Japan cedar? In what about year has it passed? 

if a real pure tree passed ages, it will become fabulous.

Although fittings were aging too, it has opened and closed perfectly.

as overall comment, it is cold truly in winter -- it is likely to receive and seems to be cool in summer.
It looks we are able to lives there(without air conditioning).
It was the touch to say.

Although there was also a poster called the ban on a nap, it is the comfort which wants to come to take a nap.

I thought that it would completely be good as a house even now if heat insulation is also solid in such atmosphere.

Hanazono-so -- eco-apartment with vegitable garden in the city--

Hanazono-so, the apartment is located at Adachi-ku, Tokyo.

When the plan of an eco-apartment was begun, we went to see them at the very beginning.

We didn't have an appointment, we were trying to make it with Mr.Hirata, the owner of Hanazono-so,
but he didn't have a time in that day.
So we expected to watch the building only.
Fortunately,The father of Mr. Hirata found us, then talked with us really kindly.

If it is called Hanazono-so, it will be the forerunner existence of an eco-apartment with a private vegetable garden.
That is why we are also referring to it very much.
The father of Mr. Hirata, he talked about the importance of using woods of local supply and local consumption, how to make the good community by using a vegetable garden, ecology and so on.....  we studied so many things from him.

Situation of the apartment in Japan now, top priority is to increase number of households, and to reach lower construction costs. Most of landlords believe that makes more profit .
As a result, the situation of an apartment is they supply less rooms for family in  a town or a city.
If family needs a wider place to live, they have to move to countryside.

It is full of the element which causes a heat island to a town.

Is such a town cozy to live on?


The apartment which kayagreen X Eco-ya baobab proposes the collective housing which use less energy but mostly controls a heat island and it can live with a family or sharing two person in the town.
It carries out  joy of growing vegetables at your own garden in the town too.


If such an apartment is made in large numbers around a station, don't you think that it is great?
The apartment project was started by such thought.

greenfingers eco-apartment project finally starts!

2012.07.17

The eco-apartment project with a kitchen garden which kayagreen sends to you.
It began to move still more.
Although it is still a stage of a plan view now, it is a healthy apartment plan for Eco who took in the passive design about interior using lots of Japan cedar from Hyogo(our local).
A collaborative project with Eco-Ya-baobab.
It is cool in summer, warm in winter and is an energy-saving eco-apartment which hardly requires the electric bill of air conditioning.

We slowly reveal details and goes.

5. The apartment has  7 households. Each household has 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet, a balcony and of course a vegitable garden in front of an apartment.
